A Night of Rock 'n' Roll to Celebrate America's 250th Birthday With L. A. Guns

L.A. Guns are currently blazing through their 2026 world tour, promoting their explosive new album, Leopard Skin.  The U.S. leg of the tour features adrenaline-pumping co-headlining performances with Tom Keifer, along with a few select headline shows. On June 30, the band unleashed a high-octane headline performance at The Showroom At Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ, delivering a thunderous setlist that celebrated their entire catalog and set the stage ablaze ahead of the upcoming 250th birthday celebration of the United States.

L.A. Guns  electrified the Scottsdale audience a show with the raw energy reminiscent of the Sunset Strip roots and the tight precision of a band with nearly 40 years of rockin' the globe and weathering every Rock N' Roll storm imaginable.

Fans gathered early outside the Showroom at Talking Stick Resort, sharing stories of past concerts, legendary guitar solos, and entertaining one another with air guitars and air drums while eagerly awaiting the doors to open.

Once inside the cozy venue, the festive atmosphere enveloped everyone. The bar buzzed with activity, friends reunited, and the palpable excitement filled the room. Everyone was there for one purpose—to experience an unforgettable night of rock 'n' roll.

As the lights dimmed, the band hit the stage with a "Take No Prisoners" attitude as drummer Shawn Duncan kicked off the show with the hard hittin' beginning to the full throttle rocker, "Cannonball" that instantly brought the crowd to their feet. Bassist Johnny Martin, along with guitarists Ace Von Johnson and the legendary guitarist, Tracii Guns joined in as their sound exploded. Frontman Phil Lewis then took the stage engaging the audience as he belted out the opening line to "Cannonball:"

You're rollin', you're rollin'... rollin' on a tidal wave!”

Lewis epitomized the rock veteran, donning a gray plaid suit that complemented his silver hair, mustache, and commanding stage presence.

The band wasted no time delivering hit after hit, including "Electric Gypsy," "Sex Action," "Speed," "Over the Edge," and "Hit and Run." They maintained a relentless energy throughout their performance—this was a high-octane show from beginning to end.

Guitarists Ace Von Johnson and Tracii Guns set the stage ablaze with their fiery riffs and solos, moving across every inch of the platform stage and engaging the fans with their infectious energy; their chemistry was electric.

Behind them, drummer Duncan provided a powerhouse performance, expertly balancing thunderous fills with the band's softer moments in songs such as "The Ballad of Jayne."

Bassist Martin added a dose of attitude with his signature wide-legged rock star stance and undeniable Sunset Strip swagger, locking in the low end with precision and strength.

Singer Lewis had the audience singing along from the first song to their final encore.

There’s something truly special about a crowd singing your songs back, and Lewis clearly thrived on that energy. To heighten the excitement, Olga made her familiar appearance during "Sex Action," dancing across the stage and eliciting cheers from the audience.

Later in the set, the band performed "Lucky Motherfucker," a fitting tribute to the tour's name (MF'r) and to drummer Shawn "L.M.F'r" Duncan, who had lived up to his nickname after transforming a $20 slot machine bet into a $600 jackpot earlier in the evening; sometimes the house does pay!

An encore was unnecessary as L.A. Guns wrapped up the night with "Never Enough," "The Ballad of Jayne," and the explosive "Rip and Tear," sending the audience home on a high note.

This is an unforgettable show that will leave an indelible mark on your memory! L.A. Guns consistently prove why they are one of hard rock's most dynamic and resilient bands. With the electrifying Lucky MF'r Tour still in full swing, don't miss your chance to catch them live if they rock a city near you!

Whether you try your luck at the slots or come out for a high-octane night filled with electrifying Rock and Roll, you're in for an exhilarating evening of entertainment on this Lucky MF'r tour!
